VESSEL EXHAUST PRESSURE CLEANING INTERVENTION

At Ventum, we are not bound by traditional boundaries, and when a last-minute challenge arose, we stepped up to the plate. Our customer reached out to us with a unique task: to propose a solution and execute it at the MSC Cruise Vessel docked in Malta’s Shipyard. The challenge? Cleaning two exhaust pipes, each extending 50 meters deep, from the inside, and replacing sparklers.

In close collaboration with our customer, we developed a comprehensive Method Statement that allowed our rope access technicians to use high-pressure water jetting to clean the exhaust pipes. Despite the challenges presented by the Maltese weather, our dedicated team put in several days of hard work to complete the project. Our efforts paid off, and we successfully completed the task before the MSC Cruise Vessel set sail for the Caribbean beaches.
